Residents of AH will receive the following services from our caring and compassionate staff:
Basic Care Services
We assist with dressing, toileting, eating, personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry and medication dispensing. We also regularly observe each client for changes in physical, mental, emotional and social functioning; provide behavioral assistance, health care, counseling; and transport clients to health-related appointments, religious services, family visits, court proceedings and community/day programs.
Personal Development Coaching
We provide structured opportunities that nurture and progress each client’s personal self-development journey. Our objective is to enhance the quality of life for our clients, helping them to become better people, achieve more, and overall be better rounded individuals. Coaching topics in this area include: Behavioral Skills, Sexuality, Personal Finance, Vocational Training, Job Referral Services and Safety Awareness.
Independent Living Coaching
We provide a program that utilizes an individualized and systematic method of teaching clients to master the basic activities of daily living. We believe that a client’s ability to master these skills on their own will promote dignity and self-worth. Coaching topics in this area include: Dressing, Eating, Grooming and Dressing.
Progress Tracking & Reporting
Ametrine House will use Client Progress Notes, Activity Logs and Client Feedback to track and evaluate how each client is responding to our program services on a daily basis. Our goal is to continuously improve the quality and delivery of services while ensuring that the services provided are appropriate, efficient, effective, and that they meet the individual needs of our clients.
We make arrangements for client to engage in various activities throughout the week. Each client will be encouraged to develop their own interest and hobbies so they’ll be more equip to choose activities of their liking. Activities include: Social/Integrated Activities (e.g. movies, crafts, dance clubs, day programs, workshops, bowling, YMCA, Special Olympics, group adaptive sports, etc.); Leisure Activities (e.g. play station, board games, puzzles, painting, clay, drawing, coloring, scrapbooking, etc.); Physical Activities (e.g. aquatic therapy, ballroom dancing, brisk walking, etc.); and Community Activities (e.g. shopping centers, museums, parks, etc.)
